Water Buffalo Horn is predominately black in colour but does have some streaks of white and brown. Once polished it finishes to a beautiful shine.

Often Buffalo horn is used unstabilized but I make a point of stabilizing it as I have found it will shrink or expand with humidity. Stabilizing the horn makes it much more impervious to moisture so you get a handle that is much less likely to change over time.
